Home

I wish to go home,
And lay next to you,
Ignorant of the flames,
Aware of their warmth,

But the flames consumed,
All I knew
Gone, but you
And me and the snow,

You will leave too,
And I miss you already,
I tire of the cold,
Alone with this cruelty,

Can we ever go home?
No I don’t think we can.

Very sad. A good picture of loss and grief.
