Fall for you

My body intertwines in yours
Overwhelmed by the scent of your skin
Overcome by the effervescence you outpour
Your breathing slows and deepens, and
I start to silently cry
My tears fall against your chest
But I wipe them away
Before the feeling of them against
Your flesh can wake you
I wouldn’t dare interrupt your slumber
With something as inconsequential
As my tears
Tears that I cannot and will not explain
They are not a novelty
They fall for you often, and
I fall for you too
