Adolescent Love

Birthed in a distant land,
dubbed honesty;
In humble
migrant dwellings,
where interactions,
doting cares, even
our fancy Sunday wears,
exemplified morality.

We felt the lure
of temporary;
As adolescent love,
with Cupid's
mystic rainbow brushed,
our yearning hearts
with quilt dimensions ,
 of extraordinary.

Within the breeze
of ludic songs,
we'd hum the classic
nursery rhymes;
While initialing
heart craved silhouettes
on ancient old tree trunks.

Or passed 'I Love You' hidden crayoned notes,
as story reading time
blurred on.
To childish then,
to scrutinize
and understand,
'twas all just 'Puppy Love'.

Tonight, the all knowing ,
ancient stars grace
our meeting lake;
Casting wavy images
of hand held strolls
with peeking quick
embraces
with its trance.

Mere
tender memories,
of that love promise, lost.
O' how someday
we'd wed,
and only then,
together
greet our destiny.
