A Left-Handed Movement
I bottled my feelings, now they’re too strong.
My right can’t dance, sing nor jot
a single thing that which my left has got.
Where are the representatives,
the cults, the activists,
that stand up for what
protrudes on our lefty wrists?
Smudges on paper and
stupid scissors,
if we were born the right way,
we’d all be wizards.
Handshakes are awkward,
the can opener’s an abuser.
This unfair world was built
for the right handed user.
We need to move,
we need to take action!
We need safer spaces,
for the left-handed faction!
The pen is ‘hand-ist’,
screwdrivers are oppressive.
We can’t grasp anything,
we’re not allowed to live.
It’s not intersectional
and it’s not right
that “people of alternative
hands” have to fight.
So, let’s go my lefties!
For glory and for freedom!
It’s not trivial at all.
What, are you so dumb?
Can you not see my point of view?
