A Fateful Day Indeed

On a day cold and dreary
A fateful day indeed
In a restaurant warm and cheery
We find two hearts in need

Shy eyes meet across a table
And they start to share
And over lunch they find they're able
Their tender hearts to bare

A friendship true is born this day
And though they do not know
Two hearts entwine in a way
That love begins to grow

In the future they will learn
They've finally met the one
For whom their hearts for years have yearned
Like flowers for the sun

Let us leave our lovers now
Their future bright ahead
And one day soon they'll share their vows
Two hearts as one will wed
