I was your typical goody-two-shoes as a child. Straight A's, perfect attendance, Mommy's little girl, Daddy's little princess--then poof! It blew away with the rest of the stability I thought I was entitled to. For quite a few years, I remained reclusive--I stayed in my bedroom, I barely spoke, hardly ate. With my parents split, which I took pretty hard, I needed a way to deal with my built up anger and loneliness. My therapist suggested writing, which I had blown off for quite sometime because thats how the TV kids dealt with their issues. But I tried it anyway and, so far, it's been my greatest joy. I've written paragraphs, short stories, novels, books, series...depends on my mood and my connection to the plot. I've never shared my work with the public--it's terrified me from the beginning. But I'm overcoming this fear by doing...this. Advice is greatly appreciated as long as it's constructive.
