"I know the structure of the entire book before I begin... I begin the day by reading what I wrote the day before or maybe for the last two days, and cleaning it up, making sure it says what I want in the way I want to say it. When I get to the end of that, I want to know what happens -- so I start writing more! The only part in my writing day that I keep a pretty strict schedule is making sure I get enough sleep so I can think clearly."
