You and I sutured the broken bubble. Between hand-claps, judgments (,) and song tracks, time didn't allow us a glimpse – through the candle flame – of an object of desire, or of our pretentious youth. In such a timelessness, which we deemed astute, pity encroached the lot. You asked which of us was defined by his name or face (Or national histories?) You asked how men and women befriend; that we might have contrived to use different laughs and responses. Boom.
