Everybody keeps saying that the spacing in my writing is terrible; what does this mean?

It probably means that you have run-on paragraphs that need to be spaced apart. It's generally accepted to start a new paragraph every five-to-eight sentences, when switching subjects, and is needed and someone starts talking.

Or it could mean your paragraphs are too many, and you're doing one sentence paragraphs.

Like this.

He sat down.

He glanced up.

She looked around.

Maybe one of your readers will comment and explain.

I don't think it meant either. I believe that they had meant that there was not enough of a margin between the lines.

No, sincerely Yours is correct in what he says.

Double spacing each paragraph splits the narrative and make it easier to read.

Simply put, hit the enter bar twice after each paragraph.

We're not talking about double-spacing lines.
